Peter Reiss is Professor of Internal Medicine at the Academic Medical Center at the University of Amsterdam. He is also, among his other activities, the Director of the HIV Monitoring Foundation and the regional representative for Europe and Central Asia of the International AIDS Society (IAS). Along with many Dutch organisations, including the Dutch Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Health, Welfare and Sport, Dr. Reiss has been able to bring the biennial International AIDS conference to Amsterdam.

Marc Benninga is, as a paediatric gastroenterologist, at the Academic Medical Center Amsterdam, closely involved with the 48th Annual Meeting of the European Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN) Conference that took place 6 – 9 May 2015 in the RAI in Amsterdam. About four thousand paediatricians, paediatric gastroenterologists, nurses, dieticians and psychologists will attend the conference.

Kickoff for the Maritim Hotel Amsterdam

At a festive “Ground-breaking Event” in Amsterdam, the foundation stone was symbolically handed over for the new Maritim Hotel Amsterdam. The kick-off for the project was initiated by the investor group, Investor United Benefits and IES Immobilien with the Maritim Hotelgesellschaft as the hotel operator.

HFTP Exceeds Expectations with Inaugural HITEC Amsterdam

Over 1,100 hospitality industry professionals from around the globe came together in Amsterdam to explore the industry’s best practices and latest innovations at the inaugural HITEC Amsterdam.

Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP), producers of the Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC), exceeded its goal to successfully produce a European counterpart to its recognized, 45-year-old North American event. HITEC Amsterdam was held from March 28–30, 2017 at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre. Based on this year’s successful show, HFTP has already scheduled HITEC Amsterdam 2018 for April 11–13 at the RAI Convention Centre.
